NOVEMBER 16TH PERFORMANCE

Heartlight Students have been invited to perform during Halftime at a Southwestern College Football Game on Saturday, November 16th at 1PM! This performance is optional.  Please read this very important information prior to game day before giving your child permission to attend this event. 

A. Please Be Aware- Children will be leaving you/their seats with their Heartlight  Instructors before halftime to stage for the Performance. Children will be in your sight at all times but PARENTS MUST STAY SEATED at this time as it makes it much easier for Staff & Volunteers to gather and see the children.  After the Performance (and this is crucial) PARENTS MUST STAY SEATED so we can easily return the children back to you in the stands.  We have done these shows many times in the past, and it works best when parents remain seated. We kindly ask that you honor this request! 

B. This event is unfortunately Rain or Shine, but of course we are hoping for a nice day!

C. TICKETS: Tickets are only available to purchase in person, the day of the game. Tickets are $10. Admission is FREE for anyone 12 years old & younger. Southwestern College will be accepting credit cards or cash. You can purchase tickets at either a Home or Visitor Ticket Window. Gates open for Heartlight at 11:00 AM. (Ticket Windows will open to the general public at noon. Arrive early and avoid the long lines!) 

D. SEATING: THERE IS NO CHECK IN. After you enter the stadium you can find seats and get settled.  Look for posters and signage at the TOP of your seating section to help guide you to the correct place.  Please do not sit in the middle section of either side, they are reserved for the Home & Visiting Teams. Seating is General Admission, however you will want to sit in the sections closest to where your child will be performing. (see sections below).

E. HALF TIME: At the end of the 2nd Quarter, when there is 30 seconds left on the clock, Instructors and Staff will call the children to exit their seats and walk down the middle aisle that separates the two seating sections in your corner of the stadium. Remember- your children will be right in front of you, and you will  have a constant view of them as they enter the field. 

E. PARKING: Free parking will be available starting at 11:00 AM in LOTS J or L (please refer to the Campus Map). No permits will be required if you park in either of these designated lots. For information on Public Transportation, please visit the sdcommute.com. 

F. ATTIRE: Children can wear any color Heartlight shirt with black/dark shorts or pants, and athletic shoes or sneakers. Girls wearing skirts: please wear shorts underneath. If it’s a cooler day children can wear a long sleeve shirt under their Heartlight t-shirt. Note: If your child still needs a shirt they can be purchased in class for $13. Please send your child to class with cash or a check (made out to Heartlight) and the Instructor will give them the correct size. G.  Concessions will be available for purchase, however you are welcome to bring your own snacks to save money and avoid the long lines!

H.  There will be a Welcome Table if you need further assistance with seating, or any other questions you may have. You do not need to check in at this table- it is there if you have questions or need assistance. 

H. Like all Heartlight Shows, this Performance is optional. Many children are eager to participate, but some are shy or nervous and we do not want to force any children to perform when they are not ready. 

Participating families are asked to review and acknowledge our Permission Slip & Liability Release Form. Please complete this form prior to game day.

REMINDER: Please have your child use the restroom before the end of the 1st Quarter to make sure they are back in their seats in plenty of time.
